Badgers in the Woods
Badgers Bridge is delighted to offer ‘Badgers in the Woods' to our children. This is a Forest School, where children play and explore in the woods. Although there are Forest Schools in existence in the UK they are few and Badgers In the Woods is the first in this region.
What is special about playing in the woods is that children become familiar with nature and are able to explore their surroundings and learn using natural materials, such as leaves and twigs. Evidence shows that children develop increased physical confidence, improve their balance, coordination and awareness of their surroundings. What is also surprising is how children learn to work in a team, a valuable lifelong skill.
What is unique is that we can offer a balance between indoor days at Postling Village Hall and Outdoor days in the woods. This bridging between indoor and outdoor learning is our way of providing the best combination of learning opportunities for your child.
